shee likes when i go down Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 i found some ehxaust silencers on ebay and they say there for a banshee sst will they fit on my 99 with gold series fmf pipes and what is the difference between sst's and regular banshees if there is any also mine is still pretty much stock all i have done is the pipes v-force reeds and 220 jets what the next best thing to do Quote
Banshee4Drag Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 noss cool head, port polish, K&N filters, adjust stator plate....low budjet Quote
Bill Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 220 mains seem pretty low for pipes and reeds, are you still running the stock air filter and box lid?I would put some 280 mains in there and you would probly notice A difference in power. Quote
shee likes when i go down Posted September 25, 2006 Author Report Posted September 25, 2006 No I have a k&n filter with the lid on but what about the sst part of my question i want to know if they will fit before i pay for them or not so should 280 jets be better should i change the needles and stuff cause right now all i did was the jets Quote
trex banshee Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 what kind of fmf gold series head pipe do you have?? gnarly, fatty, or sst?? this will determine if they will fit. sst silencers require sst headpipes i believe cause they have a different length mid pipe. Quote
Bill Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Are they turbin core silencers,if so they should fit any FMF brand header. If your running A k and n filter without the lid I would put 280 mains and the e-clip in the center position.Try that out and do A plug chop to make sure your jetted right,do A search on it and youll get some good instructions. shee likes when i go down Posted September 25, 2006 Author Report Posted September 25, 2006 shitty i dont know what gold series they are i bought them from a guy off ebay and it didnt say in the description what they were is there a way i can find that out? would it say it anywhere on the pipes? i found out the silencers are powercore 2's and do those have sparkies cause i wouldnt be able to run in silver lake without those and the clamp on ones are hella expensive to just fall off when i jump it Quote
Bill Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 It should right on the side of it unless there unstamped. Quote
shee likes when i go down Posted September 25, 2006 Author Report Posted September 25, 2006 they say gold series and i think thats all i will go check right now Quote

trex banshee Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 yeah those are old fmf's. Quote
shee likes when i go down Posted September 25, 2006 Author Report Posted September 25, 2006 how old and waht kind do you think they are Quote
shatodavi Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I would say they are straight Gold Series. They are the precursor to the Fatty. They are good pipes. You've basically got FMF Fattys that just aren't stamped as such. hope that helps. The turbo cores should work just fine. Quote
black sunshine Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Powercore 2's do not have spark arrestors. The turbinecores are USFS approved. Quote
jbooker82 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Those silencers will only fit FMF SST pipes. The FMF SST pipes are longer so the silencers are shorter. If you have fmf sst pipes they will be stamped on them it will have the fmf logo with sst. You are probably see my old silencers. I sold them to a guy on ebay. After he got them he told me that he wanted his money back and that he would ship them after he got his money. He told me that they wernt for a banshee because they were to short. He had regualr fmf pipes trying to use sst silencers. Quote
