  1. I would just buy some shock covers from outwear.
  2. Only one thing I take exception too. Just because a engine needs to be reringed does not mean that it needs to be bored necessarily Its actually good maintenance to rering after approx. 45 hrs of riding. If you rering before they get too worn and do damage to the cylinder there is no reason to bore it. You may need to hone the cylinder if the cross hatching isn't prevalent. JMHO Definately buy a clymer manual. It will help you immensely. Best 30 bucks you'll ever spend.
  3. You're making a bigger deal out of this than you need to. Just rering the sucker. It'll cost you about $150. From my experience, unless you are testing with either a snap-on or Craftsman compression guage your readings are suspect anyway. I would feature to guess that your compression is actually higher than the 90 reading you are getting but after 50 hours of running its time to re-ring anyway. Do it before the piston is ruined and you have to buy a piston as well. Or worse the cylinder walls get scored. Just my humble opinion.
  4. I would say they are straight Gold Series. They are the precursor to the Fatty. They are good pipes. You've basically got FMF Fattys that just aren't stamped as such. hope that helps. The turbo cores should work just fine.
  5. Fmf gold series are old school. In the cool way. They are basically Fattys. They are a sweet pipe just ride baby.
