ellison445 Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 I would just get the Toomey 2-1 filter.. I have seen those before, I think the guy who makes them is a member on here... Quote
Infamous039 Posted September 22, 2006 Author Report Posted September 22, 2006 I was looking at the toomey 2-1 filter, but then I seen these and I was like WOW maybe I should get those instead???? Quote
dawarriorman Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 If I ever were to get rid of my airbox, Id get them just for the novelty of it. Quote
csrmel Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 they work decent. i think the surface area of the filter is more than that of a typical pod. another neat benefit is the carbon fibre resonance chamber. i made a copy of that inlet system with the exception of the carbon fibre. in its place i used aluminum intercooler tubing. (alot less $$$) you can make that entire system for about $45 in parts and an hours worth of labour if you dont mind aluminum instead of carbon fibre. Quote

Yamahammer Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 looks real trick who makes it where did you find them at and how much, can you get just the carbon pieces Quote
Infamous039 Posted September 23, 2006 Author Report Posted September 23, 2006 They are made by LUNGZ and I am not sure if you can buy just the carbon fiber parts. I went on ebay and just typed in " Banshee air filter " and then I seen them. So try that and see if you see them Quote

Infamous039 Posted September 23, 2006 Author Report Posted September 23, 2006 Thanks, Lonstar for the website I think I am going to purchase these filters Quote
jbooker82 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Looks like a good set up. The only problem i would have with it is how close the filters are to the exhaust. You can see in that one picture that the filter is resting on the exhaust pipe. At least with clamp on filters you can get ones that have an angled base on them. That way you can point them down away from the exhaust pipes. Quote
