Big Blue Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 All depends on how much motor you got.... Yep pick your tire based on your motor, type of riding. Im going to say you wont need a tallter hauler. More than likely a 8 or 9 will be what you need. Quote
Yamahammer Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 22 sand stars on a 9 inch wide rim.. best i have ridden yet sold my buddies on them aswell from 20, especially if you ride big soft dunes the flotation is awsome, launches are better bike sits level not ass down so it turns better and does not lift the front as bad.. thats my .02 and they look meaty as hell on the bike as well. haullers are great for drag but not only are hard to ride in the dunes but they throw alot of roost wich makes it a pain to ride behind so guess what you got haulers back of the pack. The sand stars throw a little roost but its tolerable, sand sharks and sand skates less than stars.aesome for duning slide really easy but dont hook as hard so there ya go. SoCalinIt Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 The best all around paddle for duning and some drags would be the Sand Skate I's comp cut by Dave at fullerton. Super light, and work for the duner and the once in a while drag racer. Just my .02 Quote
bansheeryder21 Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 what are the compressions of the different domes 20cc-13cc? also what would be best to run jet wize at 6,000-7,000 feet elev? I've got the cool head 19cc domes, V3 reeds and spacers. T6 pipes. boost bottle. You're on the wrong thread!!! What are the best sand paddles for everyday riding not for only drag racing but bowl riding? I'd say the best all around sand tire is the ITP sand stars! They are a great tire for duning and are always being sold for really cheap prices! You can't go wrong there! If you want a drag or hill shooting tire, go with the skat trak haulers! For your motor you'd want an 8 paddle. I just bought some off RMATV for $199 shipped! That is a great price! Buy two sets, sand stars and haulers, You'll be set! Quote
Thoughtshewas18 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 So hey would you guys recommend these for me? http://www.4atvtires.com/atvTires/showProd...&cat_id=601 I have the GBC sand sharks right now on my shee but it seems like im doing more spinning then gaining speed. I can run up pretty good sized hills in 5th so the power is there but I really dont want to sacrifice too much manuverability. I usually ride with other quads and rhinos so we like to cruise the dunes more than hills. But then I do like racing Let me know what you guys think! Im riding on stock rims I think thats 9 in wide correcT? Quote

How about those against a 22x11x12..is the only difference the looks on the that comparison?.... Quote
Rock-46 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Are most of you guys running 8 or 6 paddle haulers? 350 Dune ported motor, T5's and other typical bolt ons. I have been running the Sand Skate II's the last couple seasons and am going to try haulers this time around. After talking to a few people I have heard mixed things. Some say 8 paddle some say 6. I'm going with the 21x12x8 and the 8 rim, just need to decide on how many paddles. Thanks. Quote

adrenaline junky Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 I would go with some 18 paddle sand tires unlimited padla brats. You are probably thinking im crazy but these paddles are totoly awesome. They hook up great while drag racing and while riding in the bolws they can get you going pretty fast. They do not kick up that much dust, but when you get them spinning they will probably throw a 30 foot roost. Quote
Rock-46 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 (edited) Minimum 8 padles for your set up A buddy of mine is running some 6 paddles on his YFZ, and I am going to try them in Glamis this weekend and see how they work. Then I should be able to decide what to go with. I was debating trying the brats, but dont want to drop $400 on paddles right now. Edited October 21, 2006 by Rock-46 Quote
Animalman294 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Yeah, Jeff said the Padla Brats are awesome tires, but $400 bucks.............Damn. I don't think thay are in the budget right now............... Quote
1.6i Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 tried out my 20 inch sand stars this weekend in glamis, i was loving them..had them @ about 6psi...wow.. big difference compared to those cheesy ass geckos i use to run....Also nobody could get me on the launch @ olds...i was pretty impressed, i was getting my buddy on launches, he was running 8 inch haulers...im thinking he just needs more practice with those..But im happy overall....the only thing i did notice is couldn't roost very easily, ima try lowering the pressure a bit next trip... phxrider Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 I just ran my new Haulers Holloween weekend at Glamis. Man! Big difference in the hook up compared to the Sand Sharks, especially on the steep dunes. 8 Paddle Haulers all the way! Quote
