J-Madd Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 im thinking about buying a timing plate or a timing key for 4 degrees, can someone tell me how to do this, i know it may be dumb but im kinda new to banshees If you buy a timing plate, it should include directions. You can mod your own timing plate for free. There are some pics somewhere on how to do it..........you'll have to search for precise instructions on that. Quote

olmick Posted August 29, 2006 Author Report Posted August 29, 2006 its [email protected] thanks Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 dont bother with the keys they are a pain in the ass if you want to play with differant timings. Quote
steveodo Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 make sure you get a flywheel puller either way  Quote
olmick Posted August 29, 2006 Author Report Posted August 29, 2006 i was just gonna advance it by 4 degrees and not play around with any timing, all my banshee is going to have is pc pipes and air pods as for performance goes right now Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 You're still better off with the timing plate; I think anyone will tell you that. For one, no one has ever had a timing plate sheer, and that alone makes it worth the few extra dollars over a timing key. Plus, every banshee starts as "just pipes..." but you'll probably end up doing more, which will likely be complimented by more timing. Just my $.02 Quote
BigRed350x Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Mod your stock plate, its free and you can get around 4 Quote
J-Madd Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 make sure you get a flywheel puller either way  Good call. Don't get a puller from your local auto parts store. You have to get the one for a Banshee from the dealer or magicracing.com or where ever. I ruined a flywheel way back when I didn't know sh#t about Banshees. Quote
csrmel Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 just this weekend i tried using an automotive flywheel puller on my banshee and it did not work very good. if i kept tightening it i believe i would have deformed my flywheel, so i stopped before i did any damage. theres really only 1 good way to remove the flywheel, and that is with the banshee flywheel puller.
