Omg,WTF happened!?! Ouch man I bet that hurt,I wonder whats going to happen to the guy that hit him,#91. Will he get disqualified or what, some type of lap time deduction.

Nohting is gonna happen to the 91, it was a racing accident except someone got seriously injured. It just like when a boxer kills someone in the ring, they don't go to jail or get penalized in anyway. Whatever the ATVA does to that guy is gonna be nothing compared to the guilt that he feels. Best of luck to JJ.

A little bit of an update from another site:

Doug gust had something different to say...

Talked with Doug Gust tonight and he told me that a specialist was in this morning and he thinks that Jeremiah will have a full recovery. The spinal cord itself is not damaged but he has the two vertabres pinched up against it and thats was causing the loss of feeling.

that great to hear he will recover. i know how he feels i broke my neck in 94 in a car crash ,and couldnt walk for 3 months . the doctors gave me a 5% chance to walk again . but by the grace of god and support from family and friends and 6 months in the hospital and a plate and 6 screws in my neck not only am i walking but riding quads . so im sure he will be back up soon

I have heard more stories then I can handle about doctors telling people they will never walk again, then the person wills through it and makes a full recovery. I think thats a really shitty thing for a doctor to say to their patient. I'll bet a lot of people believe the doctors and don't even try to recover.

I race and I love it. I think about this sort of thing all the time. I have a beautifull wife and two kids ages 3 and 5. No way would I want to be in this situation. But will I .... Can I stop racing. No way. I should have stopped years before I even got on one. LOL....cuz then I never would have felt the air in my hair.

Tell ya what tho. My sister broke her back slipping on ICE in the middle of the winter carrying her baby girl. My brother in law broke his back on a wave runner in Mexico, and my dad broke his back falling off the moblie home and landing on a planters can full of nuts and bolts.

So you tell me. how would you like to break your back. I for one will take ROUND 2 of the NATIONALS any day. Only a select few get that far.....and I bet JJ will be back racing in a few years. just like everyone else that hurts themselves and gets better.

Now....my sister is ALOT more carefull....my brother in law doesnt get on waverunners any more...and that was the last moblie home we owned. LOL.

But ....break something on an ATV......and not get back on....I dont think so!

I hope and pray that I have a long life and die of natural causes, but if accidents are going to happen.....my wish may not happen. so live life and enjoy it!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours JJ. hoping for a speedy recovery.

another thing....if you watch the video....you will see a red quad strike the blue quad...which straightenes out and catches the rear of the yellow quad....it then flips hitting JJ and causing him to go under the quads. some of you are screamin at yellow and he was the second guy in the pileup. JJ was number 4. two more guys then run into them. nasty damn crash.

I suggest like others have..... shorten the holeshots.....instead of 5th gear first corner's you will have 3rd or 4th gear...and maybe not so much damage will occur.

True but racing is racing. Slowing them down will only slow them down people will still get hurt. I wish him the best of luck and a full recovery , he was one of my favorites right now. Ill miss watching him NATALIE and GUST on espn2. I think this week sat is the race he was hurt in. But I could be wrong.

I crushed and cracked 7 of my lower vertebrea when I was 15 yrs old playing backyard football. I was very close to being in JJ's situation and I get queasy everytime this broken back subject comes up, sorta like flashbacks and shit. I really feel bad for the guy tho, I can remember JJ was one of the last guys to switch over to the 4-strokes and he used to say that he would rather race his LRD 2-stroke than the 4 bangers. When JJ went to racing the 4strokes, he didnt have an easy transition. When I think of Jones, I remember him winning the '01 GNC title on his LRD framed 250r. He was really young when he won the championship, like 22 or something like that. He's a skinny, lanky fuck just like me and I always could relate to that, just like I like to see that old fart Doug Gust kicking the youngin's ass. Gust is older than me and im 34, I think Gust is 37 or 38 now. Anyways... I just feel so bad for the guy.

Everyone please be carefull when your out there rippin' around.
