Quinton Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 What typre of pipes should I get? I want to get the pipes that will give me the most power gain to my banshee. thanks Quote
hittintrees srh Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 alright, lets start from the begining: -what type of ridding do you do -where do you want the power to come on -do you plan on doing internal engine mods i.e.porting or stroking all of these things determine what type of pipe will fit your needs. for an all around great pipe- pc platnums or t-5's should do the trick Quote
Dmcbanshee Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Like hittintrees srh said your type of riding determine which kind of pipes choosing.., And they have many topics on that use the search engine and Welcome to the HQ  Quote
liquedfire Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 i think a good all around pipe would be fmf fattys up front and power core2 silincers with a k@n air filter and no air box lid and boost bottle will relly wake up your banshee Quote

Hilarious Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 fattys are a piece of shyt!!!! I disagree with that statement. Fmf fatty pipes are not pieces of shit. They are a pretty good pipe. When paired with a good set of reed cages and some clamp on K&N air filters, they can kick pretty good ass on a completely stock 'shee. Cpis are definately good pipes. Good powerband to them, but they are a little on the loud side. Quote
sheefreak Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 fattys are a piece of shyt!!!! toomy's and cpis rule!!! You've probably never run a set of Fatty's. The only thing shit about a set of Fattys is the nickel plateing. I agree w/T5's only because the chrome finish is better. But if you happen to find a set of Fattys for cheap, they are very comparible to the t5's. Quote
2bzy2p Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 fattys are actually a decent pipe, toomeys are better and the 6s they claim are better for a non ported motor then 5s Quote
creamsickle Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 stay away from the 6s. they are horrible. I have a set if you want them though hahaha. no but really the fatties and the t5s arent much different. if you look at the pipes side by side they really arent that much different. ive rode both and the fatties seem to have a little bit better low end. the t5s rev a little higher. personaly if you are looking for a dune pipe I would go with the paul turners. I love them I run them on 421 cub motor. they do suck on the top end though. for top end you really cant beat the cpis or shearers. if you can find a set of toomey t3s that would be a pretty good pipe. good luck finding them though haha. for all around the t5s take the cake in my opinion. they have a smooth pull through out the whole power band. they allow good access to the plugs( unlike cpi inframes) and if you end up running bigger carbs in the future your larger K and N filters wont get in the way(like the paul turners) t5s with cascade silencers are the way to go. especialy for those who have to worry abotu noise. knight_ripper Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 FMF=bottom end Trinity =top end trinity = overall shearer = top CPI = bottom or top. Quote
CadillacBanshee Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 If its bone stock go with toomey TR6's. Any other application, the T5's are always good. Quote
Quinton Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 well im mostly going to be riding in the dunes and trials. i want pipes that will give me the best low end power. Quote
msprouse Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 go with t5's for the price they are a great all around pipe Quote
