2twin350s Posted May 20, 2006 Author Report Posted May 20, 2006 so far durabilty has been good on these. i have 4-5 hours on the metallica seat. how ever, these are in ideal conditions.for sand i would say they will hold up good. for mud, well that has yet to be tested. but anyone who spends a couple hundred on a seat prolly wont be takin their shee out in the mud.thanks for the compliments Quote

hinddee29 Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 is this airbrushed on canvas then put some type of clear plastic over ? im just curious how they hold up from my fat ass tryin to hold on at the drag strip......... So far there hasn't been any problems. I haven't heard how the wiley seat is holding up. I do know the Ride the lightning seat has had some ride time. Still looks great. I don't see there will be any problems with it. The only things I see that may cause a problem with it. One getting a lot of water between the canvas an clear vinyl. Like left out in a down pour or blasting it with a hose when washing the bike. Or left in out in the sun all the time may cause fading, but what wont if left out in the sun to beat on it. I'm still trying to find a paint or clear that will stick to the vinyl. I feel this way would be faster and provide a better product. Some long term testing will be done for that before I feel it's good to sell. I really don't think anyting I use will hold up for ever. Stock stuff don't, but I still want to provide a good product that will last for some time. Also far as movement between the canvas and vinyl. There is very little and I don't see the vinyl rubbing the paint off the canvas. Quote
