Brooke Posted July 9, 2006 Report Share Posted July 9, 2006 ok than how bout the moral values of the buddist? they dont follow the chrisyain way, yet they have moral belifs i think they key point if you wanna be very general about it is that most all religions are about living life for more than just yourself. which strongly contradicts what you promote. you dont have to be religious to live your life in a noble, virtuous way, but the beliefs, or lack thereof, that you promote are all about self. like it or not, this country was founded on values and morales that are in like with how the religious prefer to live their lives. a country cant survive if its lead by people who prefer no rules and standards. At this time I want to lay down a concept so I can use it in future post (It's not mine) It's call above the line and below the line.Below the line is phyical world everything we can see & not see(air) and prove with on going education. Above the line is everything we can't see God morels right and wrong love (how much does love weigh)purpose meaning relationships.my contenition is (for your benifit)is that 2+2=4 period above & below the line. Lots & lots of people think 2+4 =5,(metaphor) 2+2 = 6 etc...but it really get s confuseing when people beleive & state that 2=2+4.1 so close but not right! I know that you can know which answer is right. I did not grow up as a christian I did not have a jail house conversion.
