night Posted May 7, 2006 Author Report Posted May 7, 2006 Hey night I have never had stock tires on a banshee. I have some pure sport bandits on mine now , they have pretty good traction. but i bet it is fun to spin alot 512638 Dude, you are loosing all the fun, I swear... Quote
night Posted May 7, 2006 Author Report Posted May 7, 2006 A new set of aftermarket tires makes a huge differance over stock, it's like adding 10hp, if there is some ware, dont' bother, just change them, you'll thank yourself for it! 512642 I think at the end of the day, its what you want. Every tire is meant for something. Quote
night Posted May 7, 2006 Author Report Posted May 7, 2006 if you want some stock tires ill sell you mine for $30+shipping. 512674 30 backs+shipping, sounds like a cool deal .Thank you very much bud. If any of my friends want them, I shall let you know, as for me, thank you, I am doing fine with my current one, approx. 25% of the thread is still left. Quote
night Posted May 7, 2006 Author Report Posted May 7, 2006 you cant just determine when to replace a worn tyre by its precent of tread loss. it depends on the perticular riders perfrernce. i have seen guys out on some trails with 90% worn tires and they are still going strong. other guys replace their tyres after every dozen tanks of gas.it just depends on youre perfreence and if youre tyre is still working OK for you. do youre stock tyres still do everything you want them to? if so, dont bother replacing them. 512715 with approx 75% gone, still climbing high dunes, but I am afraid one of these days it will put me down infront of my buddies, I mean I was thinking it might just get torned(open up-no groves left in the middle--only the grooves on the edge) Quote
night Posted May 7, 2006 Author Report Posted May 7, 2006 i guess it just depends on how much you can tolerate the slippin and slidin. if your climbing hills, it won't take much to be wanting some new treads. i just waited until i had holes poked in the sidewall of one, which didn't take too long anyway. my ps bandits have taken 10x the pounding the stockers did. but it's entirely up to you, your riding style and your budget. 512762 I can tolerate the slippin and slidin all the times, all the places, all the situations !!! night Posted May 7, 2006 Author Report Posted May 7, 2006 since we live close to bill balance we just go and get razars from him, I think it was $100 dollars for all four tires practically brand new, only used in one race, and he threw in like three sets of back tires for free cause they had a couple of holes in them. They wear kinda fast on the banshee though, we put them on both our 400ex and shee and the ones on the 400 still look brand new, but the ones on the shee have only like 1/4 inch left mostly due to spinning 512770 Long Live The Spinning Long Live The Banshee Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 You should PM Mudcool. He had a problem similar to this, and if I remember right he loosened his lug nuts to solve it. Quote
