not to take anything away from jeff but every builder is currently busting his ass i n the wee hours to get things done and running behind schedule .IMO i dont really see why yo u guys are bashing this kid (fasterthan..) ,he is only stating his own experiance and his opinion on the returned package . he has already said hes happy with the performance but felt packing was poor for a reputable builder . thats an important part of the process and as we al lknow these engine run up into the thousands$$$ really quickly ,i dont htink hes trying to belittle jeff

Blue duece,I was doing the taping.Sure I've seen bikes that will run faster but for a 350 I thought they were impressive.I've seen sno-mobile engine quads,crotch rocket engine quads on nitrous,10 mils,14 mils.Yeah,they would outrun 350's.Duh.

 

All this aside,you're entitled to your opinion.Fair enough.

im not busting his balls i agree with him if his shit was shipped funky, sounds like the builder needs to hire some help, im just saying theres so much more to a race motor than mailing your juggs out, if you looked at a race team the guy who built the WHOLE motor is out at the track fucking with it constantly, if you just mail your shit out you got what you got, its like ordering some reeds online........ive heard guys bitch there shit dont run, this guy sent me that and that guy sent me that and now im fucked.........anyones whos sent the builder their bike or even there whole engine, raise their hand.......cause i know i allways have and my shit runs perfect, didnt come back to me in a milk crate, but also didnt cost me 299.99.........

I see your point blue duece.I'm not sure if Jeff has help or not.I have heard of different builders joining together just trying to keep up.That is a good idea.I think alot of builders didn't expected such a large amount of people upgrading their bikes.There's plenty of builders flooded with work.

 

If my motor comes back in a bad container,I would be mad too.I don't want to get in on that certain topic.Both guys have their opinion on that.If a guy has an honest complaint that's fine,and I'm not saying he doesn't.Wish Jeff would give his' opinion on this but that might just start a huge argument and get way out of hand.

i hear ya race, after a bunch of banter, jim at passion started to lay low, im sure jeff is buried, he does seem like a straight forward dude just trying to make a living and enjoy what he does as we all do, after reading this thread im sure he'll make sure his shipping tactics get tuned up a little, but alot of the guys seem to like his shit, so he packed something shitty, we can all get over that, the bottom line is if you can call him and he'll walk you through getting your bike to run (as ive heard he does) ..........then he's doing his job

My experience w/ jeff at F.A.S.T. racing was exceptional!! He did a great job throughout the total build on my cub motor!! couldn't have asked for better service!! another Kudos to F.A.S.T. Jeff!!

I just spent about 2500 with Jeff, cub stroker, NOSS head, and some odds and ends, gaskets, etc.

 

I've shipped a ton of shit in my day. I work with Computers. You think it's tough to ship a little steel/aluminium motor, try shippping a 10K server, laptop, etc.

 

My shit was packaged right...I'd almost say Jeff used too many styrofoam peanuts, etc.

 

Fasterthanpoo...did Jeff not ask you to take pictures of the items and packaging to take a claim with UPS? Did he not try to resolve this problem with you??

 

I don't care how well you pack something...if something is dropped 30 feet plus from a cargo hold on a UPS plane...it's going to be rough.

 

Many of you have flown, you see the way those guys toss around your luggage. And that's just clothes, etc...

 

Maybe you should tell the whole story instead of just the little bit you endulged us with here...

dude that must be the most uve ever spent was 3 gs!!! that aint shit,, hes got those orders all day long ...that aint shit for a drag bike which im sure yours isnt cause u guys run some stupid ass pipes and small carbs and when your shit dont run u blame it on the port, my phone call to kim was 4800$ then made another and have to make another call. so dont act like 3gs is a million dollars in this game bud.jeff does have someone helping him tear down and assemble.. To me 3 grand is alot.Not everybody has a ton of money to dump into a quad.For a guy that barely gets by and is trying to build a bike,3g is huge.I understand that.Don't knock a guy that just has 3 g to spend.

 

Yeah,I don't know what all goes on at Jeff's shop.I don't see how he get anything done with all the phone calls.If I have a question such as radiator fluid and I have dumped big money into a quad,I want an answer.Yes,Jeff would take the time to answer that.That's one of the reasons I like dealing with him.
