izericson Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 well i have a banshee bored to a 370 with wisecos, milled stock head, port and polished, v force 3's, 34 mm pj's, +4 timing advance, pro design intake manifold, um billet airbox, 1/4 reed spaceers, lightened flywheel, running half 91 half 110, with elka suspension to match, ohh and i run pro circuit platinums with 304 silencers. up until now i just had a stock shee with the same pro circuits, jetted with a k&n and that thing was fast. i am waiting on the right size carb boots to get here in the mail and she will be ready to run. i am just wondering what to expect. i mean i know its gonna be fast but ive never ridden a quad with anything more than pipes and jets. anybody with comparable mods to give and opinion and also when i go to pismo in two weeks am i gonna be smoking people or what. im just getting anxious cause i cant ride it yet so i just ask about it on here. thankx Quote
hittintrees srh Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 sounds like shee should f**kin rip- actually making it do so is up to you. Quote

sheecandy Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 oh yeah its gonna be fast but your gonna need a longer swing arm Quote
suzuki0702 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 so u think since its bored .020 over it adds 20cc's? well no...but it should go fast Quote
izericson Posted April 20, 2006 Author Report Posted April 20, 2006 well i learned something new today. they bored it .020 over but the guy who did it was saying its gonna be a 370. so what will it be bored .020 over. im curious Quote
dajogejr Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 .020 over is actually a whopping 352cc.... http://www.magicracing.com/product.asp?itemid=135&catid=133 Check out the piston sizing.... Quote
ogre03 Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 I've heard this before. I knew a guy who thought since the 360 in his ford was bored .030 over when he had it rebuilt that he now has a 390 Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 longer swinger and some cpis or shearers and that thing will really fly!!!!!!!! but it should hold its own in some races Quote
suzuki0702 Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 yeah for sure ....yeah 20 over means ...something like .020 inches i believe is taken off the the cylinder wall...maybe an engine builder could chime in to clear this up for a few... Quote

If you click on the link I provided above, it will tell you the english (.020, .030, etc.) and metric (64mm, 64.5mm, etc.) overbore kits sold...which also tells you the displacement, taking into consideration it's a stock stroke crank. IF the guy said boring it over .020 would make it a 370cc...I'd be weary of giving him any more business. It's also good practice to buy the pistons and bring them to the borer/machine shop so they can bore to size... Quote
