Capone Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Claims: * Our reed cage increases more horsepower on your Banshee than any other reed cage on the market. 6 hp over stock, 1.5 hp over the V-force. * Machined from billet aluminum and complete with Boyesen Dual Stage Reeds. * Patent Pending interior design allows for the increase in horsepower and air intake velocity. http://www.magicracing.com/product.asp?itemid=1944&catid=255 I like the look of them, just wondering if anyone has tried them out yet? rocketboy Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 i dont ese how it will flow more than vforce only 2 ways i know of to get more fuel into the cylinder over the convential cage setups ,more reed surface area and/or running thinner( less tension )reeds that open easier ,this srp cage has neither . fastbanshee4u Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 I dont know ,but they sure do look like nice quality.Less money at rebuild time also. Quote
superdave Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 I have a set and they seem to work well....I also ported my motor at the same time that I installed the cages so I could not give a ride impression...for the money I like them...D Quote
sandman121383 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 ya they are nice quality. i'd give em a try if i didn't already have v force's. can't really beat the price of them babies. i wish when companies made these claims they would just back it up with a dyno sheet or some kind of data. still with that said, anything is better than stock.... ride on ! Capone Posted April 1, 2006 Author Report Posted April 1, 2006 more reed surface area and/or running thinner( less tension )reeds that open easier . 495735 If this was the case then wouldn't duncan's pyramid cage dominate over all? Quote
bkabina Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 (edited) Nope. The triangular design realy puts a hurting on over all port area. They look like they would flow better but actually they have less port area than most any other cage out there. The SRP cages are sort of like the boysen rad valve. They work pretty alright out of the box,but they work WAY better with a little time and the porting tool. Edited April 1, 2006 by bkabina Quote

warriorracer Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 I have them on my bike. The thing I noticed is that it helped the throttle respone but it's hard to tell a gain on top. Quote
fast500#12 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 i noticed a much better throttle responce and alot more on top over stock. Quote
Wicked98Shee Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Sounds good for my setup ;x 495889 lol with ur build i wouldn't settle for any less than VF reeds .... they're proven performers and there's noway the srp or pyramids can out flow VF........... VF has way more petal area!! Quote
