WALLACE84 Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 (edited) A guy saw my bike posted up for sale somewhere and emailed me this: "Hello, My name is mike yamaguchi I'm highly intersted in your advert. Preffered method of payment is MONEY ORDER OR CASHIER'S CHECK in AMERICAN $. Don't include the shipping charges. The shipping cost will be my own responsibility.let me know the last price I'll be expecting your mail soonest. Send pics if also avilable. Pls reply today. Cheers " Arent alot of this kinda names just people who are scam artists? and talk like "advert" and shit, and the "in AMERICAN $" thing kinda has me worried too Edited March 14, 2006 by WALLACE84 Quote

RIPPEN Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Dude sounds like a creap.... Tell him that advert is no longer atainable but you have another advert that involves land. Tell him it has a great view and the neighbors are very far away. Then tell him imediate payment in twinkies is the only way to insure the well being of this transaction. Just leave out the part that the land your refering to is on the F-in moon... See how highly interested he is on that. I hate weirdos RIPPEN Quote
Spitfire Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 IT'S A SCAM! I've heard of a few people that have [just for shits and giggles] led these guys on, to thinking they were gonna sell them their machines. What they do is send you a check, and they take the bike. By the time you find out the check is fake, it's too late, your machine's gone. Quote
rocketboy Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 tell him to send you to send the money order then ship him a giant double ended black dildo Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Alot of times these asshats will send you a check for $2000 more than your asking price. They'll tell you to cash it, and send the change back to them with the product. By the time the bank figures out the check is bogus, you're out $2000 (the bank comes to you for it) and your out what ever you are selling. Happened to a someone my mom knows. Some poor old guy that doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Bit him for about $6000. Quote
