WALLACE84 Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Tonight I thought it would be a good idea to take off my top a arms and repaint them, well I did and when I started puting them back on I found 2 problems! 1. The end of the a arm that goes into the steering knuckle wont tighten 2.I got an alloyboltz kit and replaced alot of the stock bolts and one set of bolts I replaced was the front brake resvior bolts, I tried to take them out to put more brake fluid in and one is stripped. How the hell can I get that out? too small obviously for an easy out or anything like that Help please Quote
DIRTMAN350 Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Are u talking about the front brake resivor cap screws? If so go out and buy a left hand drill bit set. Chuck up the drill bit u need and put drill in reverse. it should bite into the screw and pull it out. If that does not work I bought some stuff from my mac tool guy that works great. What i call it is miracle in a bottle. How u use it is put a small drop into the head of the screw and insert allen wrench or screw driver and remove screw. At first is did not think that it would work but i made a beliver out of me. If you don't have a MAC tool guy let me know and i can get you some and ship it to ya. Latter Quote

Dinner Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 What do the threads look like on your A-arm? When i took my front end apart i wasnt thinking and hit the threads to get it out and so i bent the threads all to hell ...took me 2 hours to "re-make" the threads Quote
WALLACE84 Posted March 12, 2006 Author Report Posted March 12, 2006 Oh shit!!! Dinner I made the same mistake now that I think about it, Damn it!!!! Well I guess here comes a set of +2+1 a arms!! Quote
Wicked98Shee Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 (edited) i have found that the best way i have found to remove the ball joints from the spindles is to loosen the castle nut, but leave it threaded on a few threads. then smack the spindle where the ball join goes through with a hammer. from the side as not to get the threads. always works fine for me Edited March 12, 2006 by Wicked98Shee Quote
