About 3 months ago I bought my first banshee. It's a 97 that was bone stock, even stock tires. When I bought it it would run but leaked gas from the overflows so I ordered 2 kits and rebuilt the carbs using the new needles, needle jets and removed the tors. At the same time I added carbon tech reeds and a proflow w/K&N in the factory air box with lid and snorkel. The problem is now at mid throttle only under lite load it will backfire out of the right side. Plugs look the same from side to side. Needle clip is in the stock location and mains are 200. Help!!

I would try 210 main and 4th clip from the blunt end of the needle, if it plug chops fine, but ya end up with a sluggish midrange go back to the 3rd clip on the needle with a 1/2 step washer under the clip. also run at 1/2 throttle and do a plug chop to see where your at. also make sure your carbs are in sync

I ripped the reed block gasket when installing the reed blocks but replaced both of them to be sure.  Should there be a gasket between the intake and reed block ?

Should be gaskets on intake to reed, and reed to cylinder.

Just added insurance!! I dont use gaskets, I use the black rtv silicone on them. Sure makes it a bithch to get apart. I did intake to spacer, spacer to reed, reed to cylinder.
