id pay 20 bucks to have a entire video of how to split the case with details , set the camera up on a tripod , goto town like a tv show ( minus the commericals ) ... i seriously would pay 20 to see a video of it done properly , because i wanted to get into engine work , tranny n all . kinda like you did your splitting the case thread just id love it for more into detail . so i could learn how to change override trannys etc... i hate stealerships or shops

It would be good to have installs of performance items, jetting, or mods, the general repair stuff is rather simple to do with a service manual, even if they don't do extream detail, most of the population can figure it out. :shrugani:

i dont see any market for that  .with just  a clymer manual (and maybe the occasioanl HQ search feature) and a little abilty  damn near any body can completely  tear apart a banshee engine and reassemble it . the bikes are simple enough that it is almost self explanitory .not  to mention i doubt  too man y people are gonna want to tromp  out of the garge covered in grease and stinking like gas and back  into the house every  2 minutes to reffer back  to  their pc . A manual can be right there to view ,simple to follow  and makes the build go fast  IMO.my .02

Who wants to search around to find all of that, I would rather pay the $20

and as for the tromping in/out of the house I believe thats why they invented printers ;) Cool idea Red, I would definitely snatch one up

yo u missed my point ,its not practical to print off the pages ,youll have more money in ink than in the build . the clymers is right there your eyes watch as your hands move ,real simple and they already sell these cds on ebay.

Ok ok ok... let me get this straight. Your saying you would rather spend money than use a search feature on a forum. And you'd rather print pages out of the $20 dollar CD instead of buying an allready printed up-ready to go, Clymers manual, OR.... printing out the info straight from this forum. :( Well, I gotta admit, the search feature is kindofa pain in the ass sometimes :shrugani: . And if you had a computer in your garage that would cool :) ... and if Red did a shitload of video peices, that would def be an advantage over the internet or in a clymers <_< . I dunno, I guess $20 bucks aint alot of money :) , this could be a pretty worthwhile project  . I'll keep an eye out for it when it hits Kazza :P

ok lets not get any kinda rguments going in there or anything. Please keep it to just yay or nay for me so I can get an idea of how many actually want a copy. I'm going to go through with it and hope to have the CD / DVD made by the end of march.

And as for it hitting kazaa... If I do go to the trouble of doing this, it will be copyrighted, and second... I have a degree in computer engineering and spent many years in software design/programming. I can lock it down pretty good. Yes, if people want to copy it, they will find a way, but I can make it a huge pain the ass. Especially if I go with the DVD version. It is much easier to lock down a DVD than a CD. In any case, I would hope that the people who would buy it would be honest enough to just recommend it to anyone else who wanted it and for $20 it would be pretty easy to purchase.

dude the idea is awesome...it'll all come down to promoting it though, which shouldn't be hard. (use HQ for ex.)

but i think u should seriously talk about everything wen it comes to quads. for ppl like me who r pretty much clueless....it would be soooo nice to have someone (like ur cd) actually tell newbies like me "in english" wat the hell's going on with the quad. i've learned so much just talking to ppl over the phone or online...so this would help me MAJOR!

i want to keep encouraging this but i'm sure u get the point!! good luck! OH YEA and u gotta have some sweet music on it...where ever it's appropriate of course!! :headbang::dance:

Meat it comes down to different strokes for different folks. I can't believe that many people want it and I'm sure it'd be useful to some but you tear into the Banshee once and you'll never need to look at it again. The only thing I need my Clymers for is torque specs. There's not a single part on my Banshee I haven't torn apart and put back together with the exception of the Tors and CDI box, I knew nothing about a 2-stroke beforehand. All most people need to do in order to get the confidence to do this stuff themselves is go down to the local dealer and look at the kid who would be doing it 99% of them can't hardly pull up their pants or tie their shoes yet people think they can do a better job doing the rebuild. Once somebody tears into the shee they can really grasp how simple the design is and how easy they are to work on. I have to say I'm a little dissapointed in the price, it's gonna end up being similar to what the Bansheezone once was and it was free.
