blackandyellowshee Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 K, heres the deal It will start and run for a while but after 30 seconds it stops firing on the right side. It has spark on both sides, I have switched plug boots, and I am all outta ideas. I didn't think it would crap out this fast, I bought it in october. My mods are pipes, jetted, air filter. Any ideas? thanks Darren Quote
onz Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 push the choke in after you start it! Quote
blackandyellowshee Posted February 19, 2006 Author Report Posted February 19, 2006 I did, was that a joke? Quote
chris642 Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 give some details, how long ago did you put the pipes on and rejet it? Did you try new plugs? Is this right after you put the pipes on? theres a couple things you could of done wrong on installation to make it run bad. Quote
blackandyellowshee Posted February 19, 2006 Author Report Posted February 19, 2006 Mods were all done 3 months ago, and the dealer did them. I havn't tried new plugs yet, but I will soon. Quote
dennybyz Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 sounds like your coil could be bad....maybe when it gets hot it loses ground see if its loose where it mounts..... hope it helps Quote
blackandyellowshee Posted February 19, 2006 Author Report Posted February 19, 2006 If it was the coil, wouldn't both not work? and I switched boots and it still happened on the right side. Quote
Turbobanshee_kid Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 you could need a new top ended! YOU could not be running the right oil. Quote
scotts96fast Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Have you been going through alot of water?A rusty stator can do some strange stuff. Quote

batoutofshell Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 its an 06 take it back and tell them to fucking fix it or else!! Quote
Ducman Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Its probably something real simple. Change the plugs, clean the filter. If there is still a problem, make sure the carbs are in sync. If the slide is slightly lower on one side (out of sync) then that side will not idle as strong as the other. Idle is adjusted with the screws on the top backside of the TORS, adjust both sides evenly or you will make it out of sync. You also may just need to adjust the air screws. When the air temp gets a lot colder you may need to richen up the airscews, turn them in 1/2 to 1 turn, this adjusts the idle air fuel ratio making it richer. If your idle is real low you may need to turn the idle up a bit. Quote
