K, heres the deal

It will start and run for a while but after 30 seconds it stops firing on the right side. It has spark on both sides, I have switched plug boots, and I am all outta ideas. I didn't think it would crap out this fast, I bought it in october. My mods are pipes, jetted, air filter.

Any ideas? thanks

Darren

give some details, how long ago did you put the pipes on and rejet it? Did you try new plugs? Is this right after you put the pipes on? theres a couple things you could of done wrong on installation to make it run bad.

If it was the coil, wouldn't both not work? and I switched boots and it still happened on the right side.

not necessarily ....ive seen one side go before....but you switched boots and right side is still fishy .....i would call your dealer and ask to speak to a tech they usually can steer you in right direction before lots of dough goes out your wallet......check your tors connection on top of carbs

I have no clue whats going on. My left side works fine but my right side does not fire exhaust stays cool. I work at honda so ill talk to some techs tommorow and get this figured out.

Its probably something real simple. Change the plugs, clean the filter. If there is still a problem, make sure the carbs are in sync. If the slide is slightly lower on one side (out of sync) then that side will not idle as strong as the other. Idle is adjusted with the screws on the top backside of the TORS, adjust both sides evenly or you will make it out of sync. You also may just need to adjust the air screws. When the air temp gets a lot colder you may need to richen up the airscews, turn them in 1/2 to 1 turn, this adjusts the idle air fuel ratio making it richer. If your idle is real low you may need to turn the idle up a bit.
