POLKY Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 DO ALOT OF HILL CLIMBING AND SOME TRAILS, WHICH ARE VERY TIGHT. QUAD IS STOCK ENGINE WITH EXHAUST AND 2 IN 1 CARB. LOOKING TO UP THE QUICKNEST TO THE POWER BAND AND QUICK RIDING IN 2. NOT SURE THE DIFFER IN CHANGING THE FRONT OR REAR SPROKET? DO I CHANGE JUST FRONT, JUST REAR, OR BOTH? Quote
banshee tuner Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 If your running stock gearing now and want more power for hillclimbs drop to a 13 in the front. If you change the front it is equal to about 3 in the back. Quote
Dinner Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I agree with Banshee Tuner ...13 would be good for sand Yea i have 13/42 right now, i run roads and large gravel pits, so im hitting the power band to quick...got 14/40 coming though Quote
POLKY Posted February 7, 2006 Author Report Posted February 7, 2006 (edited) I MOSTLY RUN ON COAL STRIPPINGS. WHICH IS HARD AND SOFT Edited February 7, 2006 by POLKY Quote
banshee tuner Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 What is your current gearing? Quote
POLKY Posted February 8, 2006 Author Report Posted February 8, 2006 CURRENT GEARS ARE STOCK IM MOST LIKELY GETTING 13 & 42 SOUND GOOD TO YOU Quote
knight_ripper Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 I run a 13 in the sand. It gets there quik. But I like more top end. So I run the 15. Some guys run as much as a 17. depends on your tires too. Go to a 13 front, then put on some size 18 tires on the rear... MX style.... Quote
