Hey everyone Im still new here. I want to make my Banshee faster. I would like to know the differences between a Trinity 420cc Big Bore Kit and Cheetah and Cheetah Cubs. You all seem to be professional modders so any info will help. Which would be the best for me. I live in the middle of the Mojave Desert so I Ride both Dunes and Trails every weekend. Thanx Again Everyone

Although I haven't had any dealings/experience with Trinity products, that name seems to be a bad word around here. I think most will tell you that Big Bore, especially TRex type (can't remember if Trinity is), is a dying breed. Cheetah cubs are becoming (are already?) the big favorite for a lot of more serious rec riders, and racers as well. I don't know a great deal about the Cheetahs specifically, except I believe they are PV'd, but I know many people do, and are sure to let us both know.

2003LimitedBanshee, the Trinity 420cc Big Bore Kit is stock jugs that they put big bore sleeves in and use 70mm (approxiamtely) pistons then port to your desired porting. it's not a bad setup and it makes a decent trail engine with good topend depending on the rest of the setup of course, not the best trail engine but definitely not the worst. in my opinion it wasn't worth the money i spent on it.

just go with cheetah cubs. they are by far the best bang for your money...

i agree. when i did the 420 the cubs weren't out at the time. every day i kick my self in the a$$ for getting the 420 and not waiting on the cubs, damn it man. because you ride the dunes i would definitely go with the cubs over the 420 because you'll get more power for about the same amount of money or less depending whether you go with a stock stroke or +4mm crank for the cubs.

I run a Trinity 421 Cheetah and am very happy and impressed with reliability and tremendous power everywhere in the RPMS. It is a beast for doning and trail riding. Even has plenty of bottom end that banshees are known for not having.

Good Luck,

Docbones

if you rid both dunes and trails you would benefit from the PV cheetah . a cheaper alternative would be rz350 cylinders, if I were you I would go for that. docbones, your profile says you have a 250r geometry frame? do you have any more pictures?

He's right the cubs are the best choice. Unless you are planning on building bigger than a 10 mill and shooting a bunch of big hills then you might want to look into the cheetah.

If you really dont care about bottom end power...go with the Cubs for sure. If you want a really well rounded motor with excellent bottom end grunt that will still haul the mail up top, a RZ conversion is alot cheaper than the Cheetah set-up if your willing to stay under 400cc. PM BROKE about his RZ conversion 12 port :bolt: Jim
