Ls7colorado Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 Before I install it tomarow is there a calculator anywere that will allow me to figure my final drive ratio, i think 6th gear is .899 but not sure. I know you dont figure it the same as a ring and pinon gear cuz it comes out all wrong..... Any help would be cool, Im just trying to figure what my top speed will be. Quote
crazywheelerman365 Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 somewhere around top fuel funny car and gee i think i needed a seat belt ? hope your not planning on ridding in the woods with that ? Quote
RIPPEN Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 I saw a cool chart on here somewhere recently where you typed in your info and it tells you the speed in each gear... But just curious, whats the point of runnin 18t sprocket??? RIPPEN Quote
Blue Duece Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 if your motor has the nuts to pull an 18, your second and third gears are going to make your eyes bleed on a trail, it will pull so fucking hard youll need diapers to ride it Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 here ya go!! http://home.earthlink.net/~gellett/banshee.htm Quote
Polish Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 I saw a cool chart on here somewhere recently where you typed in your info and it tells you the speed in each gear... But just curious, whats the point of runnin 18t sprocket??? RIPPEN 461052[/snapback] I saw that chart on here too............I was playing the sprocket game.trying everthing........the chart showed me exactly what my top spped would be, at a banshee rpm ..........and the chart showed that 14/41 was the fastest sprocket ratio.........do some search'n you'll find it good luck Quote
Blue Duece Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 the only problem is the chart doesnt mention horse power, the rule of thumb is the taller the gear the harder the pull.......... providing your motor has the nuts to tow that tall of gearing, short gearing floats tall gearing pulls forever Quote
Ls7colorado Posted January 18, 2006 Author Report Posted January 18, 2006 (edited) Sweet thanks, I have been having to drive my shee to work, and need the RPM's to drop so i can "cruise" faster than 40 mph. Maybe I can hit 100 who knows... I only weight 135 lbs and can take off in 2nd fine witch is what 1st will be liek after I put the 18T on there. Edited January 18, 2006 by Ls7colorado Quote

PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 You might put a little extra air in those tires, don't want them to balloon up in the middle and suck the sidewall off the bead. What gear combination are you running? 18/41? What size tires? How does it pull it? Quote
