FTGRACING Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 (edited) Hey, did anyone see the YFZ450 with the Shee motor on ebay (they claimed 90hp motor). It was listed this week and is gone. I was a pretty cool setup from the looks of it. I was going to big on it but I have my own project going with shoving a Shee motor inn my spare Tecate4, just trying to find the extra time to work on it. I don't have the listing number but I downloaded the picts here is one of them below. Edited January 13, 2006 by FTGRACING Quote

FTGRACING Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 Yeah, if that motor runs as good as poster said that would smoke almost any 450 thumper out there. If Yamaha built a very special edition model for there last year that was like this (even with a stock motor) I think they would have made a killing. I know most on this board would love to own one. Now while we are dreaming they could have done a 400 kit to it and put on some good pipes from the factory on it for a start. With all this said I am a Kawasaki/Yamaha guy but I have owned a few Shees and I have spare Tecate4 Roller that I plan to put a Shee motor in it. To me this would be a great dune quad. I love the Shee powerband and the egronomics of the Tecate4..And before anyone starts raging on the suspension my T4 has +2+1 A-Arms and works shocks/w res and +3 rear swinger and 2+2 durablue axle, to name a few mods. BigRed350x Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 That thing looks like the retarded grandchild of a warrior and a banshee that hasn't been cut yet. Personally I don't like em. Quote
shawn Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 I bought the yfz with the banshee motor it is the fastest thing I ever rode I have owned 5 different banshees and this thing is crazy when the power hits , the guy had used it for ice raceing I just bought it because my sons worked trx 450 would beat my last banshee in short drags but this bike if you can keep the front down will just fly by even with him having a good head start , we have a 1/2 mile drive way and you cannot stay in the throttle on this bike I mean if you have ever ridden with almost 100 hp you will know what I mean it just pulls so hard the drive way has a couple light turns and all are other bikes we can hold wide open but this one just accellerates so fast you have to keep backing off I am going to move the motor foward 2" to get room for air filters since it was only ran on ice and put a 4" swingarm . FTGRACING Posted January 15, 2006 Author Report Posted January 15, 2006 BigRed350x, sorry you don't like the Tecate's there are many out there that do. Ask 370banshee, he bought one also. Anyway, Congrats Shawn your new ride rocks. That is the perfect combo of power and handleing. Quote
