my uncle is lookin for more torque and low-mid power out of his banshee, he has fattys and a k&n. I told him porting would change the power curve to what he wanted exactly, but looking for other opinions. we ride open mountain trails.

Only other options besides porting that will give more power down low that I can think of are:

pipes (2:1, pt mids, etc)

single carb

porting

timing advance

more compression

I think wallrat pretty much nailed it...you already know how the pt mids go. Does he have a cool head or NOSS head? Timing is good for 2hp across the whole curve..Dan @Patriot makes one hell of a mean low end stroker....JKJK's shee has instant throttle like the Pt mids have w/ incredible pull, but smooth. Depends how much money he wants to dish.......

he's got a stock head. he was real into the porting when I was talking to him, but i'm not sure. he likes the pipes he has but from what he's telling me is he wants more low end/torque. I told him about eric gorr's port, but i'm not sure how it runs with fattys.
