Well no one I know is dumping their banshee any time soon. Some people dump it because they need more suspension (obese people) or a different powerband(trail riders/mx ect). 4 strokes are more reliable and don't need mixed gas, not to mention better gas miliage. As for the speed of the 4 strokes? Other than the 450 most 4 strokes have a hell of a time beating a stock banshee. Mine banshee smokes 450 s all day long, and I love the powerband. I would never switch to a 4 stroke. :D

If you wanna be competetive on the track a 450 is almost a must have... You can do it on a 'shee... i did... but it takes a helluva rider and it's about twice as tiring. I'd eat 5 gallons of gas one day at the track on my 'shee.... seems like I put gas in my 450 every 2 months lol.... basically:

Banshee: Good power, bad gas mileage, shitty suspension ( b/c the frame was designed by cavemen), dying breed,

450's: dime a dozen, boring(quick though), great suspension, can still race the production class, feel 1/2 as light at the 'shee in air...

A banshee is hard to learn to ride and just all around harder to ride, but if you get good on one you can go like hell :bolt: A yfz you jump on and can go like hell after like 5 rides. :flush:

I had the same issue. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a great rider. I couldn't beat a couple of friends in some tight trails with my shee vs. their 4 strokes. I then bought a 450 to run trails, and ride my shee at the dunes and on occasion. I take both with me pretty much every time I ride. People who sell their shees to get 450s will be happy at first due to the better ride, but will ALWAYS miss the powerband of the shee.

and if you race (at least here) they won't let banshee's in the race, they have banned 2 strokes from atv racing here.

The ama has made 2 strokes mx bikes hard to race with the unfair advantage they gave to the 4 strokes also on a side note.

pretty soon I perdict Cali banning them from the dunes with all the sticker rule they have.

times are changing and 4 stroke rule the track.
