Shee-Male Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 You can buy these from any local jobber or auto parts store cheaper in chrome, they come with 3 differant size inlets and they are made buy many differant manufacturers, sometimes there in the marine section as a universal peice ( thats where I got mine for 7.00) I replaced the glass portion of mine with a peice of aluminum that I lathed out so it kinda looks like the in line finned coolers that go in your rad hose. Gargamel Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 looks good but a little to much. like stated about, just go to like autozone and get one cheaper. I got one like that was solid alum.- same idea for $9.50 at local store. Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted December 29, 2005 Author Report Posted December 29, 2005 that sounds like a better idea thanks Quote
fast87 Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 i got the glass centered one, you can open it up to clean it also, plus it doesnt use the AN threaded fittings, each end has a nipple that the hose slides over..worth the 8-10 bucks IMO ~Mark~ Quote
Spitfire Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Anybody ever here the rumor that fuel filters actually can filter out some pre-mix? Not sure if it's true or not, but I took mine off my RM250 when I had that bike, just incase. Quote

rocketboy Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 i dont and havent ran a fuel filter , i have see n evidence of them collecting premix oil and they sligtly impede flow IMO .the petcock has its own filter and always be sure your gas can has a filter o nthe spout and youll be just fine without one. lonestar Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 I was told you don't run a inline filter on a banshee. That was my first problem I had with new 97 . brought the bike back to the dealers the service manager said take that inline filter out. He said thats your problem you don't run a inline filter on a banshee. It needs the flow freely. You got a filter at the pitcock. This service manager knows he owens two banshees. Soon as I took it out my problem was solved. Know don't forget this is back in 97 on a stock machine. Today I owen a cheetha motor the pitcock I have know is a pingel just to make sure it flows freely. Quote
