Turning your cylinders 180.

First I like to say hi, I'm new to the forum.

I was wondering if you could mount your jugs and pistons 180 degrees off.

Where the carbs were facing the front and the exhaust ports were facing back.

I was wonder because this would give your pipes a straight shot back, no bends and sense your carbs would be up front, you could make some kind of ram air for it.

youd need custom made pipes and your intake would be sticking way out in front and sucking more dirt than air IMo ,this has been done on other models with success ,but i dont think on a banshee it would be worth trying .

draggers do it correct? but theyre dragging in sand and on pavement. it doesnt seem practical if youre doing anything but serious dragging.

ive seen several pics of bikes on PS that have this done..it looks really cool but its a drag only mod...and im sure it costs out the ass to do it..

most places i have talked to want between 350-500 dollars to mod the head to do this then you still got pipes to build, i may still do it with a cub cylinder.

This doesn't have anything to do with banshees, but I figured I'd mention it: Cannondales are built that way. Efi in front of the cylinder, exaust out the back of the cylinder.

I was figuring with this set up you could run a straight exhaust and use tubes, kind of like those chrome ones you see alot on custom import cars for the intake. You could run the filters further up just below the hood. I was just wondering if it could be done more than anything. I couldn't do it because, I cross water to much to do it.
