well ice racing is around the corner and last year when taking corners the inside carb would run out gas. (we race circle track) pretty good size track, usually in 3rd and 4th gear so the corners are fairly long. i'll be swaping out my stock carbs for keihin 34mm pj's whether or not that makes a difference i don't know. any ideas how i can fix that problem? :shrugani: thanks

the stock carb float bowls are very small and the floats tend to stick quite a bit.... just changing to larger carbs will help quite a bit. There is also are different kinds of petcocks such as "pingels" that increase flow from the tank to the carbs but they seem to have more problems than there worth.... worst case scenerio is to run a fuel pump but that's pretty extreme.

If I were you I would look into 35pwks instead of the 34pjs... not that the pj's are a bad carb but the pwks (especially the 35s vs. the 33pwks) seem to be easier to tune overall.

Have fun!

You must be flying around corners for centripital force to cause the gas to flow to only one carb. if I were you, I'd put the T right off of the petcock instead of where it T's near the 2 carbs. This way, maybe the gas won't be so prone to flow to the outside being that it won't have anywhere else to go but down.

You can 1) bigger carbs

2) after market float bowls....boyseen makes some that stops fuel slosh..

3) pump around fuel pump system...I have worked on these on shifter karrts....they are awesome...runs off the pulse of the motor and pumps gas into and out of the carbs....look on any shifter kart web page and they will sell them and tell you about them...D good luck...

With the mods you have listed even running bigger carbs you should still think about putting a pingle petcock on your bike. If you are running that bike hard enough to empty the bowls just putting bigger carbs on won't make that much of a difference. The problem is the stock petcock is to restrictive. The pingle has two outlets to feed both carbs independently. On a stock bike a stock petcock is fine but a modified motor takes more fuel than the stock petcock can flow. I am suprised you haven't had a melt down yet running one cylinder out of fuel.
