2_stroke_me03 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 what difference does the 4 degree key make and where does it make the difference and how hard is it to put in....or is it worth the 20 bucks or not thanks Quote
kw04 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 dont waste your money. spend the little extra and get the adjustable timeing plate. Quote
jmoore Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I have one and have had it in since last spring with no problems. I put it in while I had my flywheel off. You just need to make sure you seat the key all the way properly. You really need your flywheel off to do this. And you would need to have your flywheel off to do the timing plate as well. Either way, I think it is a definate worthwhile mod. Quote
2_stroke_me03 Posted November 29, 2005 Author Report Posted November 29, 2005 where do you feel a difference...low,mid ,topend ... what does it do Quote
BigRed350x Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 where do you feel a difference...low,mid ,topend ... what does it do 442647[/snapback] Low end. Don't go with the key though, just get a stator plate or mod your stock one. Way more reliable. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I had a +4 key in my cub motor when I lost my stock one(just to get me through the weekend) pulled the fly wheel to put the new stock one back in and the key was half sheaered off already! do a search on modding your stock timing plate and you can save your self $20 or if you don't feel comfortable doing this buy a ricky stator timing plate, they are only $35.00 friends of mine have bought the plates off of ebay as well. more timing is gonna get you more bottom end will sacurficeing a touch on top. hope this helps Quote
banshee tuner Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I have had one for 4 years with no problem at all, it helps out on top end. They are not recommended for high horse motors, my motor has no porting. Quote
