Dodge Vs Lexus

Hey sup all...

gonna be getting my first car soon...

 

I have 2 cars in mind on is the Dodge Charger SRT8 or Lexus Ls 430...

 

Would appritate any advice about the 2 cars and which one you guys would go for...

 

looking for something casual

I work for a Chrysler dealer and we have atleast 6 300c srt8's. Very impressive on the road, dont get off the line well but let me tell ya a 35 to 110 it's quick as hell. Just some hidden info you can put the ESP/traction control into race mode by holding the ESP button for 10 seconds then you can burn the tires right off that thing. This is a non published feature for any srt model. I would get the SRT, go to your local Chrysler dealer and test a 300c srt8 same exact platform but different body styling.

You know the srt's are going for 45 to 52,000 with a 2,000 gas guzzler tax.

Thanx for the hint... i saw the 300c but unfortantly i prefered the looks on the Dodge SRT8, but i think they got same engine..

Not worried anything about tax as i m living in the United Arab Emirates..

 

By the way what does that 420 stand for before ur username? lol

Well they're 2 different types of cars. The Lexus is a nice luxury car that has some get up and go to it. But its not meant to be a sports car, and doesn't pretend to be. The Dodge is supposed to be sports sedan, and is meant to go quick. But other than strict performance, its no comparison. The Lexus is a better car all the way around. More features, better built, much more comfortable. A friend of mine has used his mothers ls 430 on a few trips before, and Ive ridden with him. Nice car. No question in my mind between the 2, get the lexus.

 

But also think, do you want a sports car, or a sedan?

Haha, very true. Nothing hotter than a ls sittin on some chrome 22s blacked out windows, with a banshee in tow. Damn, i need to win the lottery real quick.

if the SRT8 really has the 6.1L hemi in it. F the lexus get the dodge. i love the new chargers, and i dont really like the look of the lexus. but its your call man, the inside of the lexus is much nicer than the dodge.

It's your call between a fancy Toyota or a hot rod Dodge. Why not just get a Porsche then you'll actually have something.

Dodge vs. Lexus? You gotta be kidding me. That's like Read Consumer Reports and you'll never look at that Dodge again. All three of the new Dodges (Magnum, Charger and 300) got bad reviews.

 

Sorry, but there is NO comparision between the two. The Lexus is far from a "fancy Toyota", but even a mid level Toyota is better than those Dodges as far as quality goes. Wanta go faster, then get the Lexus and tweek it some.

 

The LS430 is considered the luxery car that they measure all other luxery cars against. Blows away Mercedes Benz as far as quality, performance and reliabulity goes.

I test drove a 2006 Charger with the Hemi in it, and that was one smooth riding car. Lots of room inside even for a big 6'3 250lb guy and the car had plenty of power to spare.

It sounds to me like you should get a cadillac CTS with the manual if you want a sporty and luxury ride. That is where my money would be. Have you looked at those at all?

Dude if you are gonna spend that much money you might as well get a vette. Nothing like a Chevy . No comparison between the vette and those other cars. The vette would hands down smoke them all. But then again that's just me I guess...
