just need a little help with it. when i turn my lights on low the brake like gets bright, then when i turn the lights to hi it then gets dim. then when i press the rear brake nothing happens, doesn't get brighter or anything. it's weird. so basically, when my lights are on low it's as if i'm pressing the rear break but i'm not, then when i turn them to high it's as if i'm not pressing the break. does that make sense? do you think it's an electrical problem or is it possible to have the wrong type bulb in there? thanks.

banshee's (my 87 anyway) don't have a brake switch, so the brake light isn't supposed to get brighter when you hit the pedal...and yes it probably gets dimmer when you click on your hi beams because the hi beams draw more voltage than lo beam, so your tail light gets dimmer...and no this does not affect your ignition/spark current because the stator has 2 separate systems, one for lights and one for ignition..good luck

ok, well mines an 01, so that means it's not a functioning brake light then right? so everything is cool? thanks.

They will be dim unitl you rev up the motor for the stator to brighten them up. More rpm's the brighter the lights will get. That's the way my 98 is.
