compose2
i just ordered my longer rod stroker kit. went with the +4mm. while this is ordered i decided to bore my cylinders from stock to .040 over. i have a bunch of other stuff already such as t5's, vforce reeds, milled head, timing advanced..... all that stuff. my question is, going from stock bore and stock stroke to 4mm longrod stroker with .040 overbore, should i see a huge difference once its all back together? top, mid, or bottom? wayfst
no, not without the proper porting, choose wisiely you only get one shot at it.
BdBanshee
I recommend you don't skip any bore sizes, unless your just made of money.........

compose2
i was thinking of eventually going to cheetah cubs next year or a monoblock setup anyways
fast87
i'd just wait for a monoblock/cheetah setup...also don't skip bore sizes like what was said above, never ever ever ever bore your cylinders to gain power, always always always bore the minimum amount, just enough to clean up the scratches in the cylinder walls...for obvious reasons ~Mark~
ogre03
Aren't there issues with putting a long rod stroker kit on previously ported cylinders?
fast500#12
yes. you need to talk to who ever did your port work and see if it is compatable. stoking your motor changes your port timing and some port jobs wont work with a stoker kit.
