Cotton eyed Joe Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Dam yea i think you guys are right I need to pass on it then. 433937[/snapback] Definitely don't get into a rush to buy one. I did that with my 98. I paid more than new price for a new bike, and I regretted not calling the salesmans bullshit right there, but I wanted a bike so I could get to the dunes that weekend with my buddies. Keep looking. Deals are out there. Quote

'shee Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I bought a 96 a few months ago for 3 grand heres what came with it... FMF Fattys / Powercore 2 silencers White bros boost bottle Wiseco pistons Pro design cool head Dyna fs ignition Outerwears shock covers pro design shifter pro design pro flow intake system I would pass it up, thats kindof expensive even for utah prices where im at ( utah is generally more expensive) i would hold off, you will find better Quote
CombatTalon2 Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 (edited) Buying a shee in SoCal during the riding season you are gonna pay more than other places in the US. Shit Glamis is a big factor in that. I would say 3 grand for a stock 96 is a bit high. i paid 4k for my 96 shee but it already had alot of work done to it. PC'd frame, set of dune wheel/tires portwork, trued and welded crank, T5s, ricky stator lights and high output stator. dyna FS ignition and some other crap. i probably paid a bit too much but hey, i got a good bike and i knew the history of the machine. im sure you could find a nice shee with some mods for around 3,500 in SoCal this time of year Edited November 9, 2005 by CombatTalon2 Quote

R. Rollins Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 My Niebhor Has a 96 Banshee and he wants 3 grand.its stock and needs some work not perfect. body work needs to be replaced needs new wheels .needs some work. im in So Cal I bought a perfect condition 1995 Banshee ( granted that it is Barney Purple) it is in immaculate condition. All for 1,500.00. So be careful and check around. Dont pay more than NADA value for it. Yhat is unless it has aftermarket stuff all over it. Then take the value of the aftermarket stuff and depreciate the value of the parts according to the age of the extra stuff. Then you can make teh owner a fair knowledged based offer as an informed consumer that is not about to be suckered. Final Thought: They made more Banshees than any other ATV period. They are out there in piles.... R. Rollins sends... Quote
