crbanshee Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 i know this is the type of thing that mudcool would have asked but im asking this question seriously.. i want to know if i run my shee pinned 6th will it blow up or will i be safe? the places i ride there are washes and roads that i hit and ride pinned wide open 6th for a long time the only reason i back off is because i worry about blowing the top end..will it blow if i run in the top of 6th for an extended period of time? or will i be ok running this fast and this high rpm for so long Quote

STLBILL Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 If you do this type of riding most would changing your gearing be appropriate? Set the ratio so that the engine doesn't have enough 'nads to top out sixth. Hopefully the chassis and the rider will be able to handle this speed safely. Quote

sheefreak Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 What about a 15/41, or even 15/40. Quote
Hilarious Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 Throw you a 15 tooth sproket in the front. Makes a pretty good bit of difference. Quote
