what do you guys think of running fuel injector cleaner in the shee? would it hurt it at all? ive never heard of it being ran in 2 strokes for obvious reasons (no fuel injectors) but i think it would just clean everything, carbs, reeds, intake, pistons. everything.

i ran some of that carb cleaner stuff, not the injector, and it didn't do anything to performance or life of the machine. Didn't notice any difference at all. Didn't clean the carb either though. :shootself:

I would like to point out new cars have plastic tanks plastic lines and well every thing else is basicly made of plastic. the o-ring seals on the injectors are rubber sorry but close enought.

:flush: ever had an injector apart?i dont think you have.fuel never hits any rubber pieces. look at gm bulletin for fuel injector cleaning. it states that any cleaner returning to the tank will damage fuel pump and regulator becuase the are plastic. does not matter, reeds are not plastic, and go get some injector cleaner and soak the reeds in them and see what happens. it will destroy them.make them brittle. plus it will lean the premix and possibly seperate the premix in a 2 stroke.you can also run regular gas in your car. but would you do it in a 2 stroke? leave the car additives for CARS.

ive done it several times but i stopped because i didnt notice much difference. i doubt youd lean the mixture much at 1 oz per gallon since this stuff is flammable although not high octane. its quite hard to separate out the premix since all oils worth anything stay mixed these days quite well. all said however i doubt you'd see much difference in performance unless the carbs were really gummed up and then you should take them off anyways to clean them
