J-Madd Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 we posted at the same time but you were a little faster.im going to block them of by putting some hose on them then sticking an empty 22 shell in the other end to block it off unless these a better way? thank you 418850 Go to O'Reillys or where ever and buy some vacuum covers or something like that. They cover vacuum openings on car carbs. That's what I did. Quote
Rooster Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 (edited) To answer icemans question on, "why run one carb instead of two"? Only one cylinder fires at a time so running double the carburation isn't always the answer. How many V8 cars have you seen with eight carbs or injectors? Other than full blown race cars not too many, right? I love my single CV (Constant Velocity) set-up. Some added benefits are the ease of tuning and jetting, plus it looks cleaner and is easier to clean (if that's worth anything). Rooster PS: My sick mind had the same reaction when I read the post, I thought maybe carb was short for some European chicks name and was about to give him some other ideas on what to do with them............. Ruko Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I am also running 34mm Mikuni carbs so I went out and had a look at mine. There is three vent lines coming off them both. One on each side and one on the bowl. I don't know what would happen if they were blocked off but if they are supose to be there I would leave them open. Just put a hose on each one and run it down under the carb. That's how mine are. Quote
BURKE_DADDY Posted September 29, 2005 Author Report Posted September 29, 2005 after talking to some people and some looking around i found the carb blueprints and the bottom and one of the 2 nipples are overflow and the other one is a vent . thank you for the replys and help Quote
iceman Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 i understand what one carb does. i didnt realize that he was trying to make his bike trail friendly...whatever that is. Quote
Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 First thing I thought of when I saw the title of the thread was "pinch them". Maybe put clothes pins on them. Or alligator clips. And then smack them off with a belt. 418729 no way PEICE THEM with big loops . then suck on them . increases performance like a boost bottle Quote
