taldoc3 Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 i would go with the noss head it made more of a diff. than the reeds, go with 21cc domes, you should be fine with pump, it will be awful close with being bored and timing advance, I am at 1000ft with 20cc domes and if I advance my timing to +4 I have to run a mix of 20% race fuel to keep from detonation, you should be fine, check your compression when you get it, I think if your below 160 you will be fine with pump, just listen to your bike you can tell when it is detonating, to me sounds kind of like a diesel at low rpm's Quote
eehsnab2 Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 If it where me I do this... Have your stock head milled (bout $30) and buy your self the reeds too. Best of both worlds... Then when you do have money for a head... sell your stocker on ebay! Quote
dlnoss Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 I know my opionion might seem biased but I have both. I felt like my throttle response was a little snappier with the vforce reeds. I had a substantial power increase with the head. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Yup, more noticible power with the head. Quote
Banshee~ Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 I was in the same place that you are at 2 months ago. I went with the nossmachine cool head because it keeps your bike running cooler and gives you more power at the same time. Quote
iceman Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 do you have to re jet for the noss head? Quote
dlnoss Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 You don't usually need to rejet but you should check jetting after installing the head. Quote
05bansh Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 I would get the Noss head first, then the V Force. Quote
Gargamel Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 I perfer head .... um I mean get the head first. Quote
