AllMotor347 Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Hey guys, im just sittin in my dorm room contemplating mods for my banshee, I think next im gonna jump into the suspension, and I am wondering if a 4+ swinger is to much for trail riding, I also ride on a lake in the winter though and I wanna give some snowmobiles a hard time. Thanks for the help Quote
Big Blue Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Do you have enough motor to require a extended swingarm? Quote
AllMotor347 Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 This winter ill have a port, not sure on which head yet but one with somewhere around 18cc domes an adjustable timing plate, and some v force reeds to go with my FMF pipes and my vito's superlite pistons. Quote
switchblade Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I think with those mods a +2 would be great for you. Quote
AllMotor347 Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 How much would either a 2+ or a 4+ affect my manuverability in the woods? Quote
LegendSS28 Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 a +2 would be a hellova lot better...go for the +2 unless you plan on goin the stroker/cub route and so on Quote
AllMotor347 Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 aight guys thanks for the input Quote
MonkeyBoy Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Why don't you do the motor work and ride it for a while. You can determine for yourself if a extended swinger is right for you. I dune mine, it's ported and all the good stuff, and I want a -2. I want to turn better, and I have no problems with the traction. Quote
AllMotor347 Posted September 4, 2005 Author Report Posted September 4, 2005 well a 4+ would look the balls too Quote

locogato11283 Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 if ur gonna ride trails i would go no longer than +2...if you dont need the swinger then id stick with stock length. easier turning and better traction as long as you arent poppin wheelies off the line all the time. Quote
AllMotor347 Posted September 6, 2005 Author Report Posted September 6, 2005 Thanks for the input guys, Loco what do you run on your bike that thing is sick Quote
