Felonious_Monk Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Anyone ever think of.....or seen a shee motor in a yfz frame?? Thoughts?? Opinions?? Monk Quote
fast500#12 Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 i thought about it. sounded like a winner to me. try it and tell it how it is Quote
midnite Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 I've seen a banshee motor in a raptor. A banshee motor in a yfz frame would be wicked, but then again, a banshee motor in a banshee frame is wicked. Quote
Killdmycobra Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 i have seen a couple of the YFZ banshee conversions. I believe one was painted a metal flake orange. Jeff Quote

Felonious_Monk Posted August 24, 2005 Author Report Posted August 24, 2005 I've really been giving it some serious consideration.......... The suspensioin on my shee is basically as good as it can get.........I mean, I could get an outlaw front setup......but will it be as good or better than a fully suspended yfz450?? Why not buy a frame........and build a roller......and stick my shee motor in there??? How much would you need.......5 6 grand?? Would you use the 450 radiator......or fab up something for the shee's radiator?? What about exhaust?? Would it interfere with the 450's rad??? There are a bunch of things to work out I know.....But I am really considering it for this winters project. Anyone want a shee roller.......or some elka's???? Quote
willow2679 Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 if the rad bothers maybe try a dynoport 2into 1 it looks smaller than two big pipes or go custom but it would be a nice quad Quote

How much would you need.......5 6 grand?? nah, unless you wanted to do full suspension and shit like that...otherwise, geta roller and a motor and you are good to go..i guess that depends on how much you spend on the roller... Would you use the 450 radiator......or fab up something for the shee's radiator?? just use the 450 radiator...itd be a simple hook up..pluis youd have the fan.. What about exhaust?? Would it interfere with the 450's rad??? you can cut and weld anything...i think itd be fairly simple.. There are a bunch of things to work out I know.....But I am really considering it for this winters project. Anyone want a shee roller.......or some elka's???? 407704[/snapback] might see if the elkas will fit the 450 frame. i know the 450 shocks will fit a banshee with little modification so i dont know why you couldnt use banshee shocks on a 450...
