I got mine through K&K ATV in Mass, and they wrapped all the sharp edges and mounts that poke out with newspaper and box tape.

Then they put a tag on it and shipped it via UPS.

I'd call your local UPS store and ax them. As long as it isn't over 150lbs they'll take it I'm sure. You just cant have anything dangerous that might hurt the driver or anyone moving the frame.

unless you have an account with them, the shipping charges are gonna be steep through ups or fedex, because they'll nail you for the size. when you have a shipping account, the cost is tied only to the weight.

you can ship it via greyhound for about $75. you and the customer will probably have to drive upward of 20 miles to pick it up at a station, but it will arrive within 2 or 3 days.

wrap up all the pointy stuff with zip ties and rags, shrink, or stretch wrap the shit out of it, tape up the loose ends and take it to greyhound.

I got a frame shipped from NYUK through greyhound and I was really impressed with the service greyhound provided. Granted, they don't deliver to your house; you have to go pick it up at their station. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes and the guy even carried the frame out to my truck in the rain.

If I went to my nearest Grey Hound station I'd have to get a tetnis shot, wear a surgical mask over my face and then cover my whole body in Lysol when I got out.

If I went in with $40 in my pocket I'd probably barely come out with my shoes still on.

Last time I shipped a blaster frame, I braced the fender mounts and other mounting tabs with wood, wrapped the frame in heavy duty black plastic and packing taped the crap out of it before taking it to the UPS pickup point. I shipped it half way accross the US for 38 bucks, which I didn't think was too bad.

Sounds like you've been to the one near me :D Or maybe the bar next to the bus station near me

It really is the best way to ship a frame. UPS will not take it here and the greyhound guy in my town wouldn;t care if I threw it in the belly of the bus with grease dripping off of it. All he wanted was the $60.

I just went to the furniture store and pulled some cardboard out of the dumpster and wrapped it up. I've done 2 this way and it get's there ASAP even from Chicago to So Cal in a couple days. You don't even have to fill out a million forms. Basically buy a ticket and kiss your loved one goodbye

Yes.

Mine is full of homeless people, derelicts, and people "down on their luck" with typhoid or what ever the hell it is they carry these days. Begging for change and stabbing people. I won't even drive down that block when its dark. They like to step off the curb into on coming traffic to make a little extra cash rather than shower, shave and get a job.

I suppose if I needed to ship a frame through Grey Hound I could toss about $10 worth of quarters out in the park next to the station and it would clear out in about 3 seconds.

I'd just have to worry about getting shanked when the one bum with half a brain figures out what I'm doing.

Now I know you've been to the one near me

The roll of quarters is part of the "handling" charge in all my auctions ;)

I like Tylers idea the best though. Just cut it up. Mark it A - A and B - B. Shit like that so you can just weld it all back together when all the pieces get there.

haha yessss
