Is that 7 mil all at once (move the pin 7 mill), or 3.5 mil (move the pin 3.5 mil) for a total of 7mil swing?

the pin is just relocated 3.5mm further out from the pin.

Whats the biggest crank made? 20mil? Wonder how much they are? You gotta sell crank just to afford a crank. :lol:

I'm working on mine, but after the kid its harder and harder, even though she's back down to pre-pregnancy weight.

The whole stretchmark thing and the photoshop line didn't help either. "comeon baby I'll clean them up in PS they wont even know you have any."

The cub also makes a couple more ponies because the nikisil is suppose to cause less friction than its stock counterpart.... not to mention that rebuilds cost a whole lot less because you just re-plate them when they start to lose compression.

do what? i thought the whole point of the nikasil was so that you can just throw new pistons and rings in it and not have to worry about boring and honing. how much does havin them nikisiled cost?? also, you would have to send them out. fuck that..i have 3 shops right here that can bore and hone cylinders and have them back within a days time. maybe im confused as to why nikisil is so great...

Yea the nikasil will wear over time and instead of honing and rebore you just get them replated. So yea you will have to find a plater that can do it. Cost will be somwhere in the heighborhood of 150 to 200 dollars for the pair of bores (both).

I like the idea because most builders take a long time to bore, hone,etc (you are lucky to have someone that can do the work fast like that loco)... the other part is when stock cylinders get to their last bore you'll have to resleeve them. With the nikisil you'll never have to resleeve the cylinder..

 

I guess different strokes for different folks... I think its an advantage. :shrugani:

How much wear/time do you get out of the coatings?  I have turely never heard of anything like this, learn somethign new everyday  :wacko:

I'll let you know before long. ;) Though I'm sure it varies quite a bit, depending on how hard you ride and how well you take care of your motor.
