crbanshee Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 does anyone know the true milage from gordens well to glamis? i want to get the milage starting from the begining of the sand highway at gordens well to the glamis store..has anyone used gps or any other form to track the true milage.. i dont know if i can make it there and back on one tank...but its a long walk if i cant?? RATBIKE0130 Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 (edited) It really depends on what tank you have and how modified your motor is. From Gordon's to the End of Roadrunner it's close to 20 miles. I went about 13 miles on my ported motor through the dunes before I ran out. With a 5 gallon tank and a completely stock motor you might be able to make it there and back. Using google earth it shows from the ranger station at glamis to the drags at gordons it's 22 miles. From the beach store to Gecko road following sand highway it's about 6 miles. 56 miles is a hell of a long way on any banshee. Edited August 5, 2005 by RATBIKE0130 Quote
crbanshee Posted August 5, 2005 Author Report Posted August 5, 2005 cool thanks..i was told it was between 17 and 20 but 22 sounds a bit closer... as far as the 56 miles that is nothing the way i ride..im used to doing hare scrambles that are 50 miles per lap..and we do 4 laps..the ride from gordens to glamis will be cake..hell might be able to bring the morning cup of coffee on that ride.. That way you won't get stranded. 401444[/snapback] i thaught about doing that...we have a couple friends that are going to camp at glamis and bring an extra 5 gal. can for each of our bikes so we can do the ride and be able to refuel and go back.
