This topic has been posted at least 20 times with the same answers in every one of them. Yes, 2 stroke quads will no longer be produced soon. If im not mistaken, does any of the top 125 class riders even use a 125 or do they all use the 250f's? Its been a while since i've seen a 125 in a supercross event . I know the 250 2 strokes can still hang with the 450's, but less and less riders are usin em. Quote

endofitall9 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Yes they are going to stop making 2 strokes but that doesnt mean they are gone forever..I have been going to school to become a atv mechanic and ghet word all the time about this, the reason they are stopping is no doubt because emissions. I have heard that alot of people are working around the clock to keep 2 strokes no only around but also make them capable of better burning of the fuels. 2 strokes don't burn the fuel like the 4 strokes so until they can do just that then production will stop. RNBRAD Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Well I guess once they quit making them you could always build your own. Anyway as long as the aftermarket continues to make all these engine parts for them. You can build a complete banshee motor without ever buying a Yamaha part. Quote
