Whats up guys? Im deciding to change my pipes i've been looking into the new toomey t-6 race pipe kit. So that brings me to my question does anyone on here have the new toomey t-6 pipe kit on there bike? If so let me know the following:

1: How do they perform

2:How the pipes sound

3: How do the pipes do against other bikes in recreational drag races

4: How is the powerband

Peace Out

the t6 pipes are more midrange. they sound just like all toomeys do. you would be more happier w/ your fattys and porting or other pipes, because the t6's are designed for a stock engine. their are tons of pipes out their, it all depends on where you need the power at. the fattys are a real good all around pipe, but I see your looking for another pipe. where do you ride at?

My T-6's rip. They sound and look awsome too. My bike is stock except for reeds, reed spacers and K&N filter. I had T-5's before these and couldn't tell any difference. The T-5's would probably be better for future mods though.

Im sure the T6's are a good performing pipe. There only problem is, they will hurt your performance if you decide to ever port or other engine mods of that nature.

And im sure, like most of us here at the HQ, you are a power fanatic! Im sure your planing on something that would make T6's just not a good investment.

Ya really cant miss with t5's!

I've tried the FMF Fatty,Toomey T-5 and T-6,and shearer in-frames.When it still had stock ports, the T-5 was my favorite.I was told the both Toomey pipes were designed for stock banshees. The T-5 just works better when you start modifing it.They both have a very good sound.I'd definitely get the T-5 instead of the T-6.Get the Toomey needles too.The Toomey work good on ported bikes also.Later,I switched to shearer and alcohol carbs and it made a huge difference. It was really rough on the clutches. It's time for a new set.

I still think you'd be happy with the T-5.

i have tr6's, the sound sweet, and pull hard, great pipes but i think i like the hit from the t5's., the tr6's seem to come on in the higher rpms and the t5's seem to hit right as the power band kicks, i had t5's, bought tr6's and sold the t5's now i have bought a new set of 5's cause they rip and sound and look awesome.

dfrom my trial and error, i would go with the t5's, plus they are cheaper.. :bolt:

Well im gonna take all your opinoins and save up and purchase the T-5 pipes. The first banshee i seen had t-5 pipes on it and i was like :whoa: they sound sweet as hell. But as far as performance is considered im not quite sure. Everyone on here says they kick ass and some say they don't :shrugani: . If anybody knows how much horsepower do the t-5 put out it would be useful information. And how do they compare in drag races against other 2 strokes and four strokes.

Peace Out

T6's are not bad, t5's preferred for porting. I like mine only thing is they stick out a tad bit and can burn your legs. They perform fine and they still have that hard mid range punch that Toomey's have, but if you plan on future mods (porting or engine work) do some Rockets or T5's.

alot of other things play a role in dragging. dont just base the pipe you want on hp, keep in mind of torque, gearing, and also the rider. most stock motors w/ pipes put out about 50+ hp jetted correctly. anyways, those yfz450's are quick off the line i might add.
