2ksteeda Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 Hey everyone, new user here I've had my banshee for a few weeks now and I'm ready to stat modding it. I'd like to add some pipes, filter, re-jet, and some reeds. My bike is totally stock. I usually ride woods trails, and fireroads. What would be the best pipes, etc to get? I was thinking of getting the toomey T6 pipe and jet kit. Quote
biggun6ss Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 I hear alot of good things about the Toomey T5 pipes. The T6 are good for stock but if you port the engine the T5 are better. I have T6 pipes and I like them but I haven't tried anything else. You will love you shee piped, Its a totaly new machine Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 From what I've heard, the T6 is a good pipe for your use. But if you plan on porting the cylinders, then go for the T5. You'll find loads of info using the 'search' function. Welcome to BansheeHQ . Rare. Quote
Big Blue Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 My vote is for T6's unless you are planning on porting anytime soon. Quote
RNBRAD Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 Trinity, only pipe made like they should be. Quote
wesw Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 i suggest dmc 916 for all around pipe and shearers for a more drag pipe. but your post you sounded like more of towards the dmc pipe. they are wicked sounded and pull from bottom to top. work good with porting also Quote
2ksteeda Posted July 23, 2005 Author Report Posted July 23, 2005 Thanks for all the replies. I dont have any porting planned but who knows, I may eventually do it. I'm going to go with the DMC or the toomey T6's now. Thanks for the suggestions! Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I dont have any porting planned but who knows, You will, trust me. I was in the same position as you, I have T-5's on the 99 and CPI's on the 94. I would think of CPI's, good on a stock motor, outstanding on a ported machine. T-5's, great pipe too, and sound the best, IMHO. Quote
ellison445 Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Word, and thats coming from a man that runs Rockets!!! So you know T-5s are the way to go t5's for sure. 395899[/snapback] Quote

If you decide to port later, they will resell easily. Quote
odaen Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 nobody seems to understand that when you start modding a banshee, you'll never stop. buy T5's so that you're motor will have potential moving forward. I've never seen a dyno comparing T5's and T6's on a stock motor, but I wouldn't imagine you'd be giving up that much in its current form going with the T5. I've seen a couple of people run T5's on cub cylinders even. They're just a very versatile pipe. Quote
