There are alot of people that go there, i mean, im not going to post directions on the net, but its no "secret spot". the cops know we are there, as long as nothing stupid is happening they dont seem to care. Haven't been caught yet, however im gettin a new 450 this winter, and then its strictly legal riding and XC racing except for the occasional night ride Just because the spots on long island are illegal doesnt mean they are crappy, or small for that matter. I've been to PA and NJ and the LI trails are BY FAR the best for sport quads. They aint small either If any long islanders wanna hook up and do some riding in the shoreham/wading river area hit me up Quote
crbanshee Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 see here is the problem..all these dumb ass people ride in illegal spots untill it gets closed down for good, then its off to another illegal spot..and you wounder why all your spots are being closed??? if these stupid fucks would realize that the more you ride illegal areas the more the anti atv activists have against us and our cause.it dosnt take more than a 3rd grade education to realize that too many activist groups already hate our machines because they say we destroy the land and polute the air..not to mention the act that for every one person that gets caught riding in a closed riding area is just one more mark against us..take glamis for example..there is some stupid ass plant out there (petersons milk vitch) that grows in the dunes and how many acres of land has been closed because of a plant..hundreds of thousands..and still these stupid fucks ride in the closed areas and what happens?? every year the activist ass hole anti atv people use that to get more and more land taken away from us...so to tell you the truth im glad to hear your bike was impounded, i just hope that you dont get it back..and if you do i hope you sell it because its people like you that are getting riding spots taken away from the rest of us that ride legaly and follow the rules Quote

Most cops around here are dicks also, but have let us off with a warning for riding on dirt roads slowly . They said next time they catch us there going to write us $300 worth of tickets and impound are shit. Shouldent they be out on the street catching criminals instead of chasing people around riding quads not hurting anything? I wouldent run by my house, because there is not many people with sport quads on my road and they would know where to find me . How do you go about registering a quad? Quote

Lets see, what pollutes the enviroment more, a little smoke from a 2 stroke or the tons of tar they pour on the ground for pavement? Tar is produced from petroluem, last time i checked, all those fumes and gasses going into the air isnt a good thing, but this goes on and on with no second thoughts. Quote

Even if they are just riding on my trails and not "tearing" anything up. Anybody who wants to ride with me is welcome but if they are tresspassing I'd hope to own their quad by the time I got done with them. Not because I'm an asshole but because they have no right to be on my land. All it takes is one stupid person to get hurt hitting one of my jumps and they could sue me for everything. If you want to ride I believe you should ask the landowner and if they are not willing then go ask someone else. Tresspassing, riding and shooting guns on somebodys land without permission isn't right, it's downright stupid. Quote

I dont really care if there is no where legal to ride around where you live. Get a truck and drive somewhere legal... hell I drive 4-5 hours sometimes to get to LEGAL riding spots, you should do the same. We had some "secret spots" here in San Diego, but because of people abusing the law they have all been shut down. People like you are the reasons I am losing my riding spots. Thanks Quote
