stuntmasta3o5 Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 Ok, Lets start from what I have - A 03 Raptor and a 04 DVX 400. My original plan was to trade in one or both bikes to get an 06 Banshee or that new 700r for a summer treat. However . . . I got in a collision (My friends stocked shee vs. piped shee) doing 6th gear. Details later but I ended up breaking my wrist . THAN while I'm in a cast and after the drama is over I let my friend take a spin on my raptor. . . He absolutely wrecks the bike into a tree , I mean - the bike is on 3 wheels. The cost of the bike to repair will cost more than the bike is worth (about $4gs) This whole summer has been so fucked up for me . . . and I don't know what to do. I need advice out of getting through this mess and maybe something positive through this summer. Please help Quote
crbanshee Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 man i feel for ya there..but if your friend is a stand up guy he will either pay for the bike he ruined or pay it off if you still owe on it..then you can go out and use the other bike on a traid or out rite sale to buy what ever bike you realy want...the 06 banshee is a nice bike right off the showroom floor..as far as the 700 raptor..i think you would be happier with the banshee..i got a frind that bought a raptor over a banshee and not a day goes by that he dosnt wish he got the banshee Quote

stuntmasta3o5 Posted July 17, 2005 Author Report Posted July 17, 2005 Well the problem is the banshee friend is not the friend that wrecked my raptor. However he did agree that I'm not paying a penny for his banshee becuase he crashed both the raptor and the DVX, (besides the only things that were hurt were the bumper, handle bar, top -arm spindle, and tie-rod). But I still have a problem with the raptor becuase that friend is struggling to get some for me. Do I scrap up the bike and sell it peice by peice ? or Do you think I should take months repairing the bike and than sell it ? OR Buy a 01 craptor (engine blown) and take my engine and install it unto the frame? I don't know, The craptor is selling for about $1500 but will I lose money since it will have a 01 title instead of an 03 ? As for the 700r vrs the banshee.. I dunno I'm leaning more to the banshee side (since I'm on this site) but that fuel injection might need a test drive Thanks guys Quote
