sezer Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 I started to take apart my quad most of it already done when i ran into a problem with the A-Arms. I got the bottom 2 front bolts off and the shocks off. The tires are also off. The nuts are off the other bolts but i can not get the bolts out of the A-Arms. Any suggestions on getting the bolts out ? I already tried hammering them out but it didnt work ? Quote

You may have to hit it pretty good, just not with anything hard. Quote

locogato11283 Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 put the nut back on and use a BFH to whack it a few times...you maybe have to destroy them to get them out. i know ive destroyed a swinger bolt before. sometimes thats the only way.. Quote

Tried to remove the stockers to put on my +2's and the upper long bolt was seized. had to chop it in 3 pieces with a saw-zaw to get it apart , good luck!! Quote
NYUK Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 i sometimes grease the shit out of it then spin it around at amazing speeds with my impact gun. sometimes it frees them up. sometimes it dont. the next step is to whack the head off the bolt with a grinder, wiggle the a arm out and scrap whats left of the bolt and the sleeve.
