ellison445 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Im on the market for a 2 pairs of rear tires. I do alot of trail ridding so I need something that is 6ply. I also need a tire that will hook up good on loose dirt. Please no kenda klaws!!lol My 2 choices so far are Maxxis Razors and Titan Fast Trekkers. If anyone can give me any info on how these tires perform on the banshee and how they wear would be great. Thanks again! Quote
fixitrod Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 buy a set of each... lol. My razors have lasted a long time but I can't compare them to the titans. I've never had them. Quote
ellison445 Posted May 19, 2005 Author Report Posted May 19, 2005 Haha, I was thinking that. But i want some type of input on other tires as well. How do the razors grip in loose dirt? Also One minute I hear everyone saying the razors wear very fast, than I hear they last very long....Whats up with that buy a set of each... lol. My razors have lasted a long time but I can't compare them to the titans. I've never had them. 371411[/snapback] Quote
bigboybanshee Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 I hear that the I-Razors are a great "all-around" tire but am not sure if they are 6-ply. I run a lot of trails, etc and my next tire was going to be the I-razor until I decided to strictly drag my shee. I run GBC dirt devils now and loved them while they had good tread, gripped great in all kinds of terrain and were fairly inexpensive too. I've heard the Fast Trekkers weren't being produced anymore and were extremely difficult to find if at all. You might be able to find a set still lingering around somewhere though Quote
stclark816 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 I have run both trekkers and I razrs. I ran trekkers for a long time, and eventually learned to not like them anymore. I run the I razrs on my 450 and they grip unreal. I had them on the banshee too and they still hooked up good. The I razrs are a 6 ply tire. They are heavy as fuck. That's the only downfall of them in my opinion. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 i love fast trekkers!! they will last years with the wear on them, and the hookup is unreal, plus you can turn them around and they work great in mud, great tire for a great price in my opinion. Quote

IDAHOSHEE Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 We have alot of desert riding here, I run the Holeshot xct's. They work great. Quote
locogato11283 Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 kenda knarlys. 6 ply, lightweight, and last a while...plus they are cheap and readily available from rmatv. regular razrs are crap i think. ive never liked them. i dont think they hook well and i think they wear fast. fast trekkers are a good tire, just too short. id go with knarlys. i have some itp holeshot hd's on baja race wheels for sale... ledofthezep Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 My buds' stock 400ex tires work a lot better than my Razrs do. Quote
