Update.......... Ok, so I found the cause of the cutting out, air gap was fine (.018) so I started checking coil, plug wires and so on. Found loose connection in left cylinder plug wire connector. Repaired that and the cutting out is gone, now just falls flat so I will mess with the jetting alittle more. Yes it pulls real hard until it falls flat. So just down to alittle more tuning at this point I think. Thanks again for all the ideas and help.

They are the new castings. Thanks for the ideas. I am going to pull the cover tonight to check the air gap. Thought I was on the mark but who knows.

Looking for some help, just built a Vito's 421, 20cc domes, 160 lbs compression,shearer in frams, 155 main jets in new 39mm kein pwk's. runs great until it reaches higher rpm's then seems to cut out and sputter, falls flat on it's face. Have tried going both directions with jetting does not change the cutting out. Have tried timing from 0 to 7 deg advanced, does not change the problem. Any advice at this point would sure help.

I can shift fine, it's like I run out of travel with the shift lever, it tops out but has not gone into gear. Thanks for the idea though. :biggrin:

I am having a hard time hitting 2nd gear, when on the throttle hard. I have done the shift star mod and it shifts great on normal to moderate acceleration but on hard accel you can feel the shift lever top out and 9 times out of 10 it will not go into 2nd gear. all other gears are great all the time.

Hey duece, I have read this entire thread and have not felt insulted by anything you have said. Actually I was inspired. Pimp, speak for your self. This "poor person" has worked very hard for every thing I have. I may not be as rich as others but am proud of what I do have. If for some reason you feel not worthy, my advice, work harder!!! Get off the government aide and food stamps, dust off your work boots and get a f*cking job that will give you that "worthy" feeling.
